Train services on North-South Line back to normal

SINGAPORE — SMRT said train services on the North-South Line are back to normal. However, trains travelling over the affected Yio Chu Kang stretch will be going at a slower speed to ensure safety.
This morning (May 30), commuters on the North-South Line experienced an additional travelling time of between 15 and 30 minutes between Woodlands and Marina Bay.
This is because trains were travelling slower as a precaution after SMRT engineers detected a rail crack on the southbound line between Yio Chu Kang and Ang Mo Kio stations at 6.25 am.
The engineers were on site to investigate.
SMRT said G clamps have been installed to secure the rail joint. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
